Jeffery Vale

Jeffery Vale began his service with the Seattle Fire Department on March 13, 2002, devoting two decades to protecting the city and its residents. He spent the majority of his career stationed in West Seattle at Engine 37, later serving at Engine 24 in Northgate. Rising to the rank of Lieutenant, Jeff was known for his steady leadership, reliability, and deep commitment to his crew and community.

A devoted husband to Charity Vale and proud father of seven—Maggie, Joelle, Carlie, Tate, Betsy, Poppy, and Titus—Jeffery served as the sole provider for his family. In May 2022, his career was abruptly and unjustly cut short when he was terminated under the City’s COVID-19 vaccine mandate, despite a history of exemplary service and leadership. The firing brought immense financial, emotional, and psychological strain to his family.

Even in the face of hardship, Jeffery’s faith, integrity, and resilience remain unshaken. His dedication to his family, fellow firefighters, and the values that guided his service continues to define him today.
