My name is Eric Sadlon. I’m a husband and proud father of three amazing children, ages 4, 11, and 13. I served as a firefighter with the Seattle Fire Department for 16 years, spending much of my career at some of the city's busiest and most demanding stations. After ten years on the job, I was promoted to lieutenant—a role I deeply valued, particularly for the opportunity it gave me to train, mentor, and lead the next generation of firefighters.

Despite my dedication and years of service, I was forced out of the department due to the COVID-19 vaccine mandate. Leaving was not my choice—it was a decision made for me, and it came at a profound personal cost. I had to sell nearly everything I owned, including the dream farm and property my family and I had built our lives around. Uprooted and uncertain, I had to start over from scratch.

The transition has been incredibly difficult, but I continue to move forward. I’m now working for a smaller combination fire department in Virginia, doing my best to rebuild my career and regain the stability and sense of purpose I once had.

This legal battle is not just professional—it’s deeply personal. I’m committed to standing up for what I believe in: protecting our religious freedoms, resisting government overreach, and defending our constitutional rights.

Thank you for taking the time to hear my story.

With respect,
Lt. Eric Sadlon
